Why would you comment on a post you clearly didn't take the time to read
but for your post, I don't really mind if they implement a private feature for non-steam games when you run it.
that so hard to comprehend.
On a normal pc setup you where you have a desktop, you don't have to launch something like firefox through steam, because you can just launch the application directly outside of the steam client.
But in the steam decks gaming mode, the one that's designed to play games on the go, you don't have a desktop with access to all the applications you've installed previously in the desktop mode. The only way to launch them in gaming mode is to add them as a non-steam game in desktop mode. And that's where my gripe comes in, because then it says I'm playing "Firefox" or "discord" or whatever in my friend's friends list.
And before someone suggest that I just switch to desktop mode in order to play games and have other apps running simultaneously, you can't tab out of the games without an external keyboard plugged in. Which kinda defeats the point of me using a handheld gaming device.
