suggestion: an option to turn on dll errors

it is very difficult to figure out why a game will not run, when steam hides dll errors. by making dll errors visible, it would be easier to know why a game will not run. dll errors is a very common cause of games failing to run.

Usually I see DLL errors for GPU/Driver related problems which typically has either running the common files or the associated latest stable driver to fix. They're less game based as an error and more general system/hardware.

i have gotten a lot of compiler based dll errors. also some direct x based ones. when steam hides them, i need to open the game`s folder and run it manually, just to find out why it is not running.

It comes down to what game, the hardware/driver and if you've installed the correct software before installing things like Steam. In many cases you can also go to the Game hub for troubleshooting assistance.

Though finding an error and being able to have the client pull it, not a terrible idea, though most errors pop up on the screen itself for the common/easily fixed ones so in a lot of cases it would be fairly redundant.

Make sure if you're having game-specific problems to check the Game hub for the game, often they have pinned threads with common fixes.
