Something like 'one-click buy'
So lets say I'm looking at five games to buy one so I throw them all into my cart as a staging area..., but then I see a 16bit game for like .79 cents and would like to buy it. Without using the cart, the option to check out for just the one game straight from the store page? I've seen this in a few stores online; most notably amazon's implementation (which also includes save for later). Here the shopping cart refreshes weekly, and I think before recently if you had carts on two devices and made a purchase they all became cleared. The system could still use some qol improvements.

If you already have games in your cart, why not just add it to the cart?

Seems pointless to rack up games in your cart then suddenly want a 'one-click buy' for one games that you found after building a cart.

Sometimes I'm not ready to checkout til payday for a couple games in the cart tbh, but want the sub-$1 games on special sooner...without having to use another device or reconstruct my cart. It's messy from an self-organization standpoint but amazon wouldn't implement this if it didn't help them generate revenue. And I quite like the feature. Why wait until someone else possibly trademarks it?

Just open a browser or use the Steam mobile app to make the 1 purchase. The cart is not synced to them.

They can't trademark the feature.

Just add the games you want to your wishlist and when you're ready to buy, go to your wishlist, sort by date added, then buy the games.

This seems like it's only solving a problem that you originally create for yourself.

I'm aware that the cart isn't sync'd across devices and that works but my idea is for a more streamlined experience. It might or might not be a huge new idea in this use case, and I appreciate the feedback, but it's not a terrible one either. You guys would really not use it?

Nope.

I hardly use the '1-click purchase' on amazon.

Thanks for your reply anyway. I use both it, and save for later. My cart is a bit all over the place sometimes. But that won't change easily. Shopping on amazon is just a chore, though. I'd be fine with a tiny almost-hidden button or link on the game page for the '1-click purchase' type feature. It seems to me like it should exist... at times. Oh well.

Heck no, I would never use 1 click buys. Thats how you end up with accidental buys and stuff you regret buying because you didn't look into it enough or bought the wrong version.

I can see why taking your time is conducive to good-decision making. I can't disagree. It works great for me on amazon because I only use it for needs, not sad-buying for sure.

I guess that Amazon owned the patent on "one-click buying", but it expired in 2017 so now everybody can use it. It would be a cool feature.

That feature is not really good, I think it is possible to select the games to buy in the cart to pay instead of paying all or remove it to pay and add them again after payment is done
