If you want to tip and indie studio, ask them if they have a paypal or some other donation method.
Good point. It's important to consider how any new feature might enable abuse.
What devs are using DLC as a donation?
There are quite a few, just search things like "donation" or "buy my a coffee" in the store. Some of them may include a few small things like a few development screenshots or so, but without reaching the levels of what would be considered actual soundtrack/artbook dlcs.

Mind as well add a tip jar. I think it would be a nice addition some devs really deserve it. I mean, if streamers are able to do it for simply playing their game a developer surely should get the same treatment.

Exactly!!!
They could easily do that if they so wish to do so right now, with donation DLC. For real, on god, no cap.
Deep Rock actually sells something as the supporter DLC. I was wondering ones that are literally just tips.
As mentioned, developers can already do it, by adding DLC with nothing in it. No Valve won't take in "charity" or "donations" for them because for them it would be a HUGE accounting mess to deal with.
If you want to donate money to them, ask them if they have somewhere that you can just give them money, or buy the game a few times for friends that want it.
Lol I disagree I don't think it would be a "HUGE accounting mess"..
They're just being nice by giving something for supporting their development rather than nothing, which is a choice to do.
