Start removing 280,000 bot accounts that play banana.
As we can all see steam has roughly 200,000+ bot accounts circulating on its platform just in 1 poorly made scam game alone. How can any of us take steam at face value or consider it's demographic declarations legit when we are faced with such staggering unintelligent game play dynamics.

Does this game "banana". Secretly turning these bot accounts into bit miners for the developer, if so is steam being used and scammed by this developer.

there is a game called banana ? I want to see what this thing is about now. :cocochan2:
It's only a scam for users that are naive enough to think the games drops are going to be worth anything.
But as long as the game isn't secretly mining crypto or other activity prohibited by Steam, it's probably not going anywhere.

It's pretty funny and dumb at the same time.

Can you please elaborate why those accounts are all bots?

I don't think they are all bots, but I wouldn't be surprised if plenty of them were, given that it's apparently a clicker game that occasionally drops inventory items, some of which are ones that some people are willing to pay a ridiculous amount of money for.

When you go to the detail you see things are not like they seem.

Take the highest priced item right now:
https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/2923300/Starynana
Sure there's sale orders for €1.4K (two)... But buy orders don't go over 20€, with 98% of the buy orders being at $16. Top sales has been just a couple €100 items.

We're not looking at a scam here. What we're seeing now is just the early stages of the price deep dive every new game with marketplace items goes through.

Nothing over 20€?

So you picked the one item that doesn't drop and there's a total of 25 of... doesn't exactly sound like a solid case there chief, unless you are pretending the REST of the context doesn't exist
Thx OP, snagged the game and its more fun then a barrel of bananas.

This is hilarious.
Going to get it. Thanks for giving the game more exposure.
Endangering yourself and other steam customers by endorsing scam games like this doesn't benefit steam or it's terms of service, developers need to be reviewed to potentially be stopped from lottery type games that promote gambling.

In this case we are talking about a fraud market of items base solely on a gambling algorithm. As such regardless of the cost to partake we have the cost of use which can be related solely to bit mining consumption, as this game does technically nothing including what users do in the game, and as such since the game has no input function it can't really be considered a game, a screen saver maybe?

Steam needs to protect its customers from scams like this, you telling us it's not a scam is no different from me telling you it is a scam, totally based on opinion in which in this case there is legal reason to remove the content of this game based solely on its gambling algorithm
