reduce max ban length to 1 week
1 month is way too long, especially when most offenses are really nothing. unless u are actually breaking the law, there is no reason to stop anyone from posting on the forums for that long. the moderation is very biased as well

In matters of taste. That part always gets left out. It means, "Do not tell the customer what they want. Let them tell you what they want".
don't make things up

The customer is always right in matters of taste. That's what hte saying is. The customer can absolutely be wrong like you are here.
And the bans should escalate.
If you keep doing the same thing it should go
24 hours > 1 week > 1 month > 1 year > Perma

With allowances for behaving over longer periods de-escalating.

Hilariously enough, there's more to that saying. Which Amaterasu has kindly provided.

It basically just means "they know what they want, don't try to force a sale on them." But toxic managers warped it to make lesser paid employees deal with abuse.

But let's paint a scenario here.

You're in a grocery store, open to just about anyone. Can you say whatever you want, and not be shown the door?

On top of it, moderation that actually invests in the communities they regulate, tbh.

Better idea, bans increase with each one.... First a warning. Then you are banned for a week. Second ban is a month. Third ban is 6 months, 4th ban = perma ban. And you lose all community stuff. You should not be able to add people to friends list or even be added. Loose all your awards, can no longer give out awards, in fact should no longer be able to adjust anything on your profile when you get a perma community ban.

If you mean VAC ban... heck no, people didn't learn to stop cheating when it was a temp ban... now its forever. Don't want a forever ban... then don't cheat.

Ah! Yet another conspiracy theory.

If OP suggestiing ban should be 1 week for doing something extremely dumb after getting a warning, then I suggest it should be 10 years so convince not to do something really extremely dumb thing after getting a warning.

Anyways bans vary from 1 day to forever depending on bans, warning got, and such, and some bans can be appeal when contact support for just reasons, but if did it repeatly knowing it wrong then yeah there a reason why they're likely not removing it.

As somebody who gets 1 months ban too. I can only disagree.

Agreed. The ban length is too long in some cases. I would appreciate a deduction in ban lenght as well.

It's too short in most cases. Make Permanent Bans Great Again!

I don't like the idea of permanent bans.
