Add support for Windows 11's new progress bar
In Windows 11 build 26080, currently available in the Dev channel of Insider Preview program, there is a new progress bar displayed below the app's icon on the taskbar. Seems convenient enough, so I hope Valve would be able to add this functionality into Steam?

Screenshots and detailed description available on the Insider Preview's official blog - https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2024/03/13/announcing-windows-11-insider-preview-build-26080-canary-and-dev-channels/

Didn't the progress bar break about the time the UI was migrated to WebHelper?

The progress bar graphics should apply to any application using the APIs that were originally implemented in Windows 7.

Nah - it still works on retail versions of Win11 (release, 22H2 and 23H2). Microsoft changed a couple things over the past few builds (260xx range) in Dev channel - the old progress bars work kinda patchy, and the new ones are so far only limited to Microsoft apps.

You might want to file a Feedback Hub report in that case; I've had a Win32 app show the progress bar just fine.

Already did - just wanted to notify Steam admins as well.

It may be a bug in how Windows detects what has requested a taskbar progress bar. I've seen several programs already working fine with the new progress bar style.

Hello. A new build of Windows 11 Insider Preview came out today. Have you tested to see if it is fixed?
