Hide Profile Picture / Avatar in Low Level Accounts from Public/Non-Friends
Hi,

I've just seen some spam posts in Help and Tips from a troll/bot with multiple accounts (level 1) sharing the same Profile image / Avatar. The image was sexual explicit.

Hiding profile pictures on low level accounts for Public view of users that are not friends with them should improve the safety against sexual explicit or any kind of disturbing content.

I did search for the same topic and found one almost nine years old, and I know resurrecting v old topics is not considered the norm. There's also one from a troll arguing they don't want to get banned for "free expression". Right.

IMO, limited accounts should be restricted from uploading pfp anyway... But it's valves decision.

I assume you mean actual low level and limited accounts and not the private/friends only ones?

Yes, the ones everyone can see.

Well, in the meantime, report any you see via the report button on their profile page. They'll get their pfp nuked and restricted from changing it temporarily or permanently.
I think it's the same user that has been doing this for a while and it seems like they keep making accounts to do it. They spam a bunch of links to shady CS trading websites on lots of threads until they presumably get banned but they're always back a few days later.

What Valve really needs to do is crack down on ban evasion with alts.

I've done that already. Thanks for the suggestion. The bots' posts have disappeared, but their profiles are still visible. I guess there's another support division taking care of profiles. It will take awhile.
