Double click Steam icon to access the Friends tab

Hello Steam,

my issue is of a cosmetic/technical nature. Eversince your last Steam Client update, I cannot use the settings to change my "Start Up Location" to the "Friends" tab. For me, it is the most reasonable quick access tab. It has worked as my Start Up Location for more than a decade now, so I do not understand why the last update would take this option away from Steam users. In other words, why can´t I double click steam to open Friends anymore? Could you explain this change, please, or let me know if you are going to change it back in the future?

they should do 2 tabs one for friends and one for follow of curators, games/devs anyway

Used to be, now the option for the "Friends tab" is not available. Only "Friends activity", which, to be frank, I do not care for.

This need more attention, I also would like to have the old option of "Friends" tab.

Well, my first idea was to message Steam Support. My "complaint" to them looked somewhat similar to the post I wrote here. This is the reply:

I still don´t know who the appropriate department is, but, perhaps, if you (and some more people) decide to chip in and message them too, we will get our tab back ;)
