Valve does not release info on projects that may or may not happen until they are ready to tell the world.
But I doubt it.
As mentioned Valve doesn't talk about stuff till they are ready to release, but I also don't see them doing this just because what you are asking for is just a PC.
They already tried this with Steam Machines which were over priced and under powered PCs. If you want that then just go buy an off the shelf PC from like staples or bestbuy or walmart or what ever.
There is zero need for Valve to make a "console". At least with the Steam deck, there was a place for a smaller then a laptop hand held PC. But as mentioned all a Valve "console" would be is a desktop PC in a small form factor, which raises the price even more.
Those have long since been abandoned. Google them.
Long gone because they were over priced and underpowered and the OS they were using wasn't wasn't. It was just a version of Linux. I'm not even sure Valve has downloads for the OS anymore, least not till they put together a newer version.
There is one for the Steam Deck but that seems more of a very specific build for known hardware.
If there is a download for the OS on Steam somewhere (and I'd suggest only downloading it from Steam if its out there), you can pretty much make any PC into a "Steam Machine", though it wouldn't be as under powered today. Or just download any current decent Linux distro and pretend it says Steam Machine. No I don't know any, I haven't bothered with Linux in many years.
