I copy a lot of appids and I literally can't do that anymore without having to copy it first and then copy the AppId..
just one me thing that shows whoever designs this crap has no user experience..
I play on Linux. For games played with proton, there's an associated folder that's used to store all save data that would go to a typical Windows directory, like appdata/roaming. This folder is usually named the same as the app ID.
So for example /steam/steamapps/compatdata/appID/appSavedata.
Being able to copy only the app ID would allow me to easily paste it into the search within the directory that contains all of the compatibly data. Otherwise I have to remember the 4-10 digit app ID or remember distinct parts for a moment to find the correct folder.
I'm sure there's other uses as well that aren't coming to me in this moment.
Discord bots etc
its just easier to distinguish games when they have similiar names or have different versions (gold ediiton, premium etc that have different AppIds)
