Please remove starting steam splash screen when steam starts.
I don't want to deal with another window while trying to login into my computer. I only want to know if steam fails to login. When I pressed the lose button on the window it stopped logging in. That is not desirable either. I checked and cannot find an option to hide the connection window on startup.

I'm not having Steam start with Windows, but now every time I start a game it pops up the full app. I don't like it, didn't use to be like that. Steam should start minimized.

+1 for removing the splash screen. It was hanging around for ages earlier waiting for network, or some such nonsense. Can't Steam just load quietly in the background like it used to?

I dislike the new splash as well, disabled steam starting with windows now

Another vote from me. The splash screen is bringing me back to 2000s era web design. Those of us who like to start our games from the desktop also don't need the steam client opening on the desktop. This stuff should be handled silently in the background, like it used to be. At least give us the option to always minimize steam when it's loaded.

Absolutely obvious, who is interested in an annoying splash window?

I agree, the latest client is awful. Instead of having the service icon in my tray, I have that and the whole stupid client. I have to close the program every day, just to keep the icon in my tray. Why? When I launch a game, I get a new splash screen, with an option to Open Steam - why???

Stop being so intrusive, Valve. Give us the options to control our applications installed on our computers in the way that WE see is best, not you!

Absolute garbage design. Always interrupts me when typing my passwort manager master passwords. Who approved this for release?

It’s also bugged because it steals focus when the splash screen pops-up on starting AND shutdown.

Also, in case a dev thinks this isn't important to Valve, I'd say I buy a quarter of my games by idly right-clicking on the Steam icon in my tray and choosing "Store." But since that icon is gone, because I no longer start Steam automatically on login, you lose around 25% of my money.

Yes please, remove the splash. It is worsening my UX. I turn everything silent at boot to avoid to wack-a-mole tenths of windows before being able to use my PC. Steam does not allow me to do that without turning off the boot at startup, it's bad design.
