Display a more detailed downloads page, showing why it has been updated, including mod names.
On the downloads page it shows that a game is due an update, or has been updated, but not why.
For example I have just had Project Zomboid download an update, I know an update has not been pushed to the main branch, and the update was only 56KB, so I am guessing a mod received an update, but I don't know which one. It would really be beneficial to see a reason for the update, and if it was a mod, the name of that mod.

Given there's an unstable version out today, if the mods auto-update, then that was likely the reason why.

Like, I don't even own the game and I can find these without them being in my Downloads page. Just make an effort.

Project Zomboid news:

They have the option as do all developers to add patch notes to the download.

Note: Those patch notes if included would disappear after the download completed, now the patch notes remain after the download completes. A poster created a suggestion and pointed out the flaw.

I think you have missed the point of the post, it was it has nothing to do with that update, and Zomboid was just an example, it happens on all games when a mod is updated in the workshop, you see the game has updated in the DL queue, but it doesn't name the mod that has been updated.
