External music/media player compatability for Big Picture and Steam Deck?

I know steam had a music player (and still does for soundtracks) but I would like a small tool to be able to control media apps like spotify through big picture and steam deck interface. I know there are 3rd party addons, but it would be nice if it were a official thing.
