Website and support sugestions
Hi everyone. I have 2 suggestions

1- I haven't been able to limit my search only to the "suggestions/ideas" section using the forum from my phone. I just couldn't find a way. It would be nice to have this function (or make it more visible if it already exists).

2- Enable a way for users to reach support for reassons not listed in the menu of options.

Why?

When in need of support, the website takes you through some options and allows you to select your issue/problem from a menu and showing you possible solutions. Only in a few of those issues have the option to get support from a person, but always to get assistance in that particular issue that you selected.

But what if your problem, for whatever reason, is not listed on the menu (just happened to me)? In my case, I ended up selecting an option that had nothing to do with my problem just to get to talk to someone who probably was supposed to only know how to solve problems related to the issue that I had selected from the menu. To clarify, my question, indeed, required a person to explain what was going on. Luckily the people from support were informed on the matter and were able to answer my questions.

I imagine that giving support this way is easier and more effective than having an option where everyone can open a ticket for whatever reason. I'm sure it avoids the very likely situarion of support answering the same questions over and over again in many cases. But at the same time it's almost imposible to cover every single problem and inquiry with a menu and some problems simply won't be covered there.

A possible solution would be to make something that takes the client through some steps (a final attempt to solve the problem without the intervention of a person from support) before showing the option to open a ticket for a problem that doesn't seem fit to any of the issues listed on the menu.

Thank you for reading,
Cheers!

1. The search function treats the general forums like a 'single' forum. So you cannot restrict your search to a subforum. Many people (I myself) have suggestedthe ability to restrict the search to a single subforum over the years.

2. The support site works the way it does by design. It's menat to present you a form to open a support ticket only in the cases where Steam Support can provide help and the user is out of channels to self-resolve the issue. Game pricing is set by the developers and Steam cannot change it, hence why you have no option to contact support about it.

1. It doesn't exist at all.

2. Support can not help you with game pricing...

Ask the game developers as they failed to set prices for their game in your region when it took effect November 20, 2023.

Thanks for answering and for the 2 links. I'll resend them to the devs.

2- Sorry. I didn't mean to say it was a bug or a mistake. I was trying to argue against that design decision ("^^ ).

Regarding my case in particular... when I first reached the devs there was what I think was a missunderstanding about who was the one setting the prices, so I wanted to check on your side if, maybe, the info on your website was outdated or smth (keep in mind that I, as a client, have no idea how do things work between Steam and the devs). And the confirmation from your support team was actually helpful for me.

That being said, the devs rectified their answer afterwards and everything was clarified.

1- Hope that subforum search gets to be applied any time in the future.

Once again, thank you both.
