So tired of seeing this in my grid view. Please fix it finally!

It only gets worse the more games you have in your collection as I do not have this issue with my alt with a much smaller collection.

I don't know why Steam just not have the grid view images downloaded to your computer. At least I am assuming they are not installed in a folder already, because this is ridiculous. Does it happen all the time? No. Does it happen often enough to be irritating? Indeed.

Also, the reason I assume it is not images already loaded on my harddrive is because grids with custom images load instantly, all the time, 100% of the time.

Steam has always had this problem, it sucks and im sure with 2,000 games your proud of your collection and want it looking neat. So, the only solution I can think of is to re-assign new custom images to the blank steam game thumbnails. Hope I helped.

reassigning custom images to the blank spots would not work because the next time the issue happens, it will be for completely different games.

The only solution would be to have all of the grid images downloaded and attached.

Manually doing this one by one would be ludicrous. It would be nice if steam allowed an option to do this, or if someone had a program to do this.

Trust me I get it. I have the same problem with my steam library. If you are running windows 8 or higher I have a possible solution. What OS are you currently running?

That's why I prefer Detailed view.

With 1200 games I can't stand the grid type views (So unorganized). I can't imagine how you put up with it on 2500 games.

Steam does not permanently download the game icons or grid images, which really sucks.

So I just use Detail View or List View and turn off the icons. Because they always take forever to load.

Id like an option to download the icon cache. I used to make custom banners for all my missing ones but steam updates kept removing them or just not showing the images at all.

know i'm late, but steamgriddb has a lot of the grids for various games. Just make sure you backup your grid folder at userdata>[yourid]>config>grids. It doesn't save cloud wise, so you gotta copy it if you ever delete steam/reformat. But it's very nice to have everything look neat.
