IDEA: Add a system resources usage counter
Following the new FPS counter update for steam, I got this idea and i thought it would be helpful for lots of us. Adding an optional (toggleable) system resources usage counter to steam, like the % of RAM and CPU and GPU memory usage, would help us see better what is overoccupied and what part needs to be upgraded. It would help us to determine which part is "bottlenecking" the performance of our videogames as well. Hope you like this idea and they bring it to steam.

I'm 100% for this. Having an option for a hardcoded benchmarking/profiler tool within Steam would be GREAT. Not sure how difficult it would be to implement but I'd love to see this come to life. I use FRAPS with an FPS counter but I'd like to see a bit more detail than that (and maybe even have it logged). Memory usage, GPU/CPU usage, heat, etc. Great idea.

Great! Let's hope they bring it to Steam.

That's a Great Idea! :wrench:
FYI... you can get some system information with some of the Logitech gaming keyboards.
The G15, G19, G510S have RAM and CPU usage. My G15 doesn't have GPU usage
Don't know about the other two.

Excellent idea.
I thinked to propose this idea after using for the first time yesterday MSI Afterbuner & RivatunerStatisticsServer, so i checked forum to see if somehone proposed this feature and you did but it would be usefull to add usage of CPU & GPU in % and temperature in C° or F° of GPU 1 2 3 4 (or "Total GPU Usage" SLI) & CPU 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (or "Total CPU Usage" like in HWiNFO64).

To be able to see RAM of PC usage in Mo & MEM of GPU usage in Mo like in MSI Afterburner / RivatunerStatisticsServer, in MB or Mo would be nice. To be able to check what we want to see would be very usefull.

The be able to choose color of counter and adding shadow like Rivatuner would be wonderfull.
