Ability to change our usernames at least once...

Yeah this is pretty much a known issue but steam doesnt pay attention to this one.why?we all know some of us have cruppy names or long ones and we need to type them each time we connect to...(if u have one pc ok...or one acc..)PLEASE STEAM GIVE US THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE OUR USERNAMES AT LEAST ONCE,ONLY ONCE!!!!PLEASEEEEEEEEE

Sorry for bringing back an old thread but has anyone heard any news regarding this?

It's still mind boggling that professional developers would do something as seriously unprofessional as use our username as a primary key, or so they imply. Even if they don't fix it for our sake, they ought to fix it for their own -- it's bad database design, plain and simple.

Like many others, I've been waiting for far too long, to be able to change my username from an old/obsolete/unused email address to a plain alphanumeric one.
