Steam Video capture?.
I don't know if this feature already exists, and if so, ignore this topic.

But if it doesn't, it would be a great thing to have. I play alot of steamgames such as Planetside 2 and Grim Dawn, and it would be awesome if Steam-users could capture gaming and post the videos on YouTube for other players to see.

Just a thought.

I believe there is allready some free software in the steam store that allows you to do that, too bad they are al lcomplex and hard to master.

It's strange to me that it doesn't exist. You can stream video to another computer, you can broadcast video, but you can't save video to disk and upload it to YouTube. Baffling.

I would still like a capture-program for Steam-games so that we can capture sessions and post them on Youtube or upload them to Steam for other players to view.
I don't really see the problem here. No one wantes a complicated capture-program, Just set the resolution, Start/stop button, max frames and go.. Nothing else is needed.

It would be nice to have a Steam Video/Audio Capture utility. A temp fix just use MSI Afterburner and Handbrake

While we wait for Steam to release their own screen recording software, there are currently 3 free options for high quality screen capture recording that should suit almost everyone:
1. OBS (Open Broadcaster Software - Local Recording & Streaming)
2. Nvidia Shadowplay (Requires GTX 650 or higher - Local Recording & Streaming)
3. MSI Predator (Local Recording - Included in MSI Afterburner and can be used by any GPU brand)

Steam / Valve . We'd very much like a videocapture program for Steamgames where we can record while gaming and then post on YouTube or Steam.

Valve... How about a reply as an acknowledgement about the possibility of such a software?.

that's all I can say.

You currently are able to broadcast your gaming, but only when you are playing, and the video isn't saved to your storage... What a bummer, if you could just push a button, and then steam records whatever you do, then saves the file on your desktop. that'd be nice.

Please Valve. Can we have a Steam Video-recording software that makes us able to record ingame steam-gameplay and post it on steam and Youtube.
