How about bringing back Paypal and stop screwing indonesian customers?

Many customers, like me, don't like to , don't want to , or simply don't have a damn credit card to pay.
We were numerous to use Paypal, WHY THE HELL DID YOU REMOVE THE OPTION FOR INDONESIA?
I'll give you an info : Mol points can't be refilled with paypal, you have to use credit card.
You have to pay RM500/154 USD to sign up at MOL
Physical outlets are only available in big cities so people like me living in relatively remote areas are screwed.
Eclub billing is a joke. If you don't use credit card you're obliged to use overpriced retailers to go to your eclub retailer to refill your game retailing website account. WTH ARE YOU THINKING?

I could pay with credit card but I DON'T WANT TO, I use paypal because it's more secured! Furthermore , I think about indonesians who worked hard to get the money to buy some games and don't have a damn credit card and now get no access to your promotions etc and this ♥♥♥♥es me off.

Therefore, I declare that I WON'T BUY ANYTHING ELSE UNLESS YOU BRING BACK PAYPAL. I don't care about "but indonesian hackers" etc, it worked very well before you change the currencies so don't try to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ us.

I could switch to credit card but I won't because what you did is a ♥♥♥♥ move. I know there are issues with hackers in SEA but we don't have to be punished for them!

I invite anyone who agrees to state here they won't use Steam services anymore until this has been fixed and when I see the number of topics popping up about this issue, not only from indonesian customers, I guess I can safely predict your sales drowning right away.

It's your call to treat your customers like crap but don't expect good things in return.

do Paypal have other option to add funds other than using credit cards in IDR ?
how did you add funds from paypal previously if you didnt want to use credit card?

You can add directly through your bank account and actually in my case, it's where I get paid for my soundtrack and game design services.
Anyway, if I have to pay with a credit card, I use the one registered on paypal as it's more secured and don't have to retype any digit etc, hence making it impossible for keylogger malwares to get my infos.
Also, you can use debit card too if your bank allows this option. So yes, paypal is my payment mode of choice and I prefer to stop buying stuff here than risking to get my credit card used by some hacker. My family's budget goes before video games.

Ok, I just bought Five Nights at Freddie's using paypal funds and transaction was successful

I too have no Paypal option but I do know that Singapore still have Paypal option.

actually my bad,
I used steam wallet funds, not paypal.

as a matter of fact, I never purchased games using paypal on steam, always using credit card.
and when I checked the payment option, there is no paypal on that list.


also when I made the purchase just now, I got debited for flat price, no more conversion cuts on floating rates anymore

No it's not available for all indonesians and after some info I got seems like it's not Valve's fault it's the internet ministry etc which is doing stupid decisions as usual.
Though, where Valve could do better is about alternative payment solutions which really,really suck.

Right, and you still need to pay to get a credit card. More costs. In case you have been living in LA-LA land, credit cards are evil little things.

Paypal has its 100% focus on protecting their clients information.
Steam has several areas to focus on, therefore protection on credit card info is a whole lot less. Why do you think that Sony can get hacked into?

PayPal really isn't any more secure than just using your credit card. I've never had a card fraud problem due to online purchases, but someone did get into my PayPal account and took a lot of money. Haven't touched PayPal with a barge-pole since.

We are not focusing on singular account hacking because it can be due to you being phished, or you had an easy password to guess to be hacked.
If you haven't already read the news...
Sony's database was hacked by hackers, which millions of accounts got exposed. And this has happened several times.

Edit: Another way to be hacked is that you do not clear your password information by erasing your history in your web browser.
