XFire is great and all, but a) It's not an application on Steam and b) If it was an application on Steam, then your hours would be logged.
Well obviously it's not an application on Steam. Who said anything about hours of chatting and server browsing? You can log steam hours doing the same thing so I don't see your argument.
In my mind they both record your gaming hours. I used XFire for years before I switched to Steam and I think it would be a good idea if they honored XFire hours, even for just steam supported games.
If they "should" do this, perhaps share your method of doing so.
