Ability To Remove Items From Point Shop in your steam inventory ❌❌
hey guys i just wanna know you guys opinion about this topic that i am going to start a discussion

Recently steam added so many stuff items banners stickers and so on ....

but some of them are not really looking cool i just wanna know do you guys think my idea is a good idea ? ( i want a option in steam inventory specially in steam items that you can REMOVE the items or junkies that you don't want it would be cool option if they add for that

since items on point shop are not tradable or not marktable so you can't get rid of them :(

"A hacker deleted my items, gimme them back"
"I deleted my items and regret it, gimme them back"

I'm sure they'd like to keep those complaints to a minimum. A way to hide items would be a decent alternative, as long as you can undo it at any time, similar to how you can already hide/unhide games.

This is a false complaint. People complain when a hacker steals their valuable stuff and Valve provides no protection in that case.

And Steam support already deals with tons of tickets requesting their inventory be cleared up. Adding this feature would not increase the number of tickets they deal with but would provide useful functuonality.

People need to stop spreading misinformation about this.

I think that would be the best solution .

I disagree, I believe adding more ways for users to permanently lose/delete items would increase the number of tickets complaining about it.
I do agree that people complaining about it is already a problem, which is why I think it's best that we don't make it even worse. If you can't eliminate a problem entirely, mitigate it as much as possible.

Steam is full of permanent actions with warnings. Crafting a badge is permanent. Buying and selling on the market is permanent. Buying a game and playing it beyond the refund window is permanent. Forcing people to clutter their inventory with stickers is permanent and no warning was given for a lot of those. Given hackers another way to muck with compromised accounts absolutely cannot create more tickets because a compromised account with the valuable stuff stolen will ALREADY create a ticket.

There will always be some number of people complaining in a store as large as Steam, I do not understand where this certainty that people complain in large enough numbers that users should be denied functionality they ask for.
Very good !!!

Let us delete or at least hide items in our inventory. Several random items from a handful of games were dumped into my inventory w/o my consent and for all of it, either: It’s unmarketable, untradeable, and unable to be turned into gems OR untradable and unable to be turned into gems + so common I can’t even sell it on the marketplace for the cheapest price I can possibly list it for.

It’s annoying.
