Irrelevant to this section of the Forum. But it's coming in valve time

Apparently it already works pretty well on a lot of all AMD systems.

Meanwhile, Bazzite[bazzite.gg] fills the gap beautifully.
just install linux and download proton
People want to believe that Windows will finally fade into oblivion.
But in reality, as far as I understand,
Steam isn’t aiming for the PC OS market - they see it as unpromising,
since their OS is just a regular Arch Linux. All they're doing is making an OS for portable systems.

They're making a new steam machine with a rx 7600 and Zen4 6-core.

I really want to get off Windows and won't move to W11. I have an all AMD [5800h/6700m] laptop ready and willing to go to SteamOS. Fremont looks great, but the RX 7600 is a sidegrade to my laptop.

If I see a RX 9600 XT 16gb model, I'm in.

...and/or if a decent future all AMD gaming laptop also has a SteamOS variant, I'd be in on that too.
