Steam Point Shop

We should be able to simply buy anything we want from the point shop without owning the game, i've had to buy this Zup 5 game and now run it for 2 hours just to get a single profile background, just seems kinda stupid IMO, i get it makes steam money but, at this point just let me buy the background with money then, i'd rather do that than have to open the game for 2 hours.

Most backgrounds and emotes can be bought from the Market. You don't need to own the game to do that.

The limitations on the Point Shop are in part to protect the Market. Which makes money for Valve and the devs, so doubt they'll be going away.

From what I've heard, it's up to the developer whether you need to own the game or not to buy all the items for it in the point shop.
