Adult Only Games Suggestion
Couldn't Steam just make any game that is potentially risky for the payment processors, to be available for purchase with Steam gift cards only? And then that way they could even make it all in one transaction where you go to buy the game and it quickly turns it into a steam gift card and then uses that to purchase the game. It seems like that should clear up all of these issues that everyone's complaining about right?

The situation isn't 'The payment providers don't want their cards used to buy those games' but 'The payment providers don't want to do business with a company that sells these games'

Oh okay, in that case hopefully the theories or rumors about SteamPay (valve creating its own payment processing company), or as much as I don't always agree with Elon Musk, the fact he's making that Xpay for payment processing, maybe one of those things will work then.

It won't, at least not as quick as it would need to be. Cutting ties to Visa/MC would cost Valve most of its customers (as in players AND publishers) and the remaining would not be enough to keep them from going bankrupt. Even if Valve could somehow keep afloat long enough to establish their own payment processor usable from every country they have a customer base in, I doubt that most customers would bother switching banks/payment processor instead of switching to another store or a console.

The way to fight overreaching influence of payment processors is politics/legal means.
