Steam Partial Review Sections
After watching Legendary Drops discuss some controversy over A dev teams issues with negative reviews, I have had an idea I think Steam should implement.
In essence, this would be a system that would benefit developers and also help purchasers validate a game that they may actually enjoy playing.
Currently, Steam reviews are one note, and rarely ever updated, even after a major update fixes many of the issues the original reviewer has.
I propose a sectioned system in which new reviews are categorized by Major Updates.
This would allow for users and devs to get out the full context of the current state of the game.
Negative reviews that are old can hurt indie devs, and even triple a studios.
This system would hopefully allow for an overall score, but be much more forgiving if the devs actually listen to the players and make meaningful, good changes. It would also help the players see that the game has changed, and that the devs are working towards making it as good as possible!

Reviews are already separate by total and recent.

No Man's Sky in the first 5 months of release had an abysmal rating of 44.79% approval. They are now enjoying an overall of 81% and a recent of 89% approval.

I don't think it's the early negative reviews that are holding back any devs from making a good product.
