The steam points reward system was a mistake
and i hope that its creators have lost sleep over the consequences of their creation. steam discussions are objectively worse now.

It's probably a "customer loyalty system" or "program."

If you can just look that up on the internet, then it makes sense from a company perspective, and you can understand it.

And yet that did not stop you giving 11 Jester awards.

Oddly i do not see you complaining about the 12,000 points you got from receiving 60 Jester awards.

Steam points are fine. People get them, buy fancy stuff for their profiles, chat emotes...

The moment Steam decided to gamify community posting and add rewards to it... That's when things went south bad.

"The steam points reward system was a mistake"

It's undeniable. They should have used Steam points for a proper loyalty program.
One of, if not, THE dumbest addition to their platform.

Steam reviews and forums discussions have turned into a cesspool for a reason.
