Bug: steam overlay after game's minimized

Noticed this on both my computers running windows 11 (a desktop and a laptop plugged into the same monitor).

When switching virtual desktops while gaming (e.g. desktop 1 to desktop 2), then switching back to desktop 1 where the game was running, the steam overlay feature will be glitchy and missing some components. I often have my video settings at full screen (not windowed full screen) so I can turn up brightness all the way, so the game gets minimized first before switching desktops - which causes the bug.

I'm always having to switch virtual desktops on the fly while gaming if I have to take a call or whatever, and properly exiting a game isn't as convenient as just leaving it running in the background. I have game recording feature turned on (if that makes a difference at all - untested). I usually have to relaunch the game after getting interrupted so it'd be nice if this was fixed and the overlay worked the same as before.
