Requires 3rd-Party Account
I would love to remove all games that have " Requires 3rd-Party Account " like this from Steam. At least like horror game I cannot get hold off bc I choose so.

I know I will never play those games bc of the headache and lost several hours (days in one instance) of set up time it cost me in the past. Chicken to return it bc I made same stupid mistake in the past.

I am on Steam bc I can play bunch of games under one account. Do not need to jump threw loops of every developer there is. Nice and simple - one account, click and you play.

If I cannot buy a game bc of this? So? Not my problem.. Seller is crippling the seamless environment on Steam.

It it was up to me, then it would be illegal to make player to double login into one product.

Am I series? Idk just rambling ... and will prolly forget it next day. :steamsad:

If you don't want it, don't buy it.

Other people do want it, and they can buy it regardless of what you think.

if you wish to complain about games requiring a 3rd party account, take it up with either that games developer or that games publisher. its their decision, not steams

I am sorry, you missed the point. I would like to remove that from my point of view as horror games. You can buy what you like, but like you said... do not drag me into it.

This is suggestion to better my experience on Steam. I am not going spam every known developer bc of his choice to make you jump twice or more. From my point of view this is obsolete.

As Steam is nothing more than a storefront, Steam is the real third party account.
If you dont want to log in multiple times, go buy the game directly from the devs instead of on Steam.

Product owners make their own decisions about their products. Valve is not going to dictate to them or attempt to control other people's products. it's one of the reasons why Steam has been so successful.

But you're going to have to deal with multiple launchers and logins either way. Either you buy a game direct from the publisher (EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, etc) in which case you'll have those launchers and logins.

Or you buy it on Steam, where Valve doesn't mistreat or strong arm developers and publishers.

Yes yes, having everything in the universe be Steam only would be convenient. But those days ended a long time ago now. And they ain't coming back.

Valve doesn't share your view, publishers don't share your view, and lots of gamers can either understand the reality well enough or don't care, or don't have a problem with having a Steam account and other game accounts.

But good luck with your dream of a Steam only monopoly!

So you want them removed or you want a store filter?

They're definitely not going to remove games just because it has another launcher/app & the store page states of such requirements.

You can block all games from a specific developer or publisher. However, you'll get lose out on seeing a few games that don't require a third-party launcher. If you're never going to buy a Rockstar, EA, or Ubisoft game, you might as well.
Feel free to start petition and invite us when its failed

For me filter would do the trick. That would bring me the ez access to games and flawless experience i aim for.
Thank you all plp to help me refind this idea. Really, simple filter as for horror games would do the trick. So Valve here I go :

" My idea was to filter out all games with 3rd party account login requirement ". Thank you :dentures:

Filter seems reasonable. :VBCOOL:

The caveat being that you buy a game, the studio sells out to a publisher, the game no falls under the publisher's umbrella and they add their launcher to the studios games.

Not arguing against the idea or anything, but it's not a guarantee you'll be able to avoid publisher launchers.

f this ♥♥♥♥. I have one account and if they do not want my $ it is their choice.
Just don't buy games with one and hope others do the same. Then maybe and only then the problem might solve itself.

Let's be real though most people don't care and that's a problem in my opinion.

My Warframe account is there in case I decide one day to buy a console or a smartphone that can play the game. It's not there to make me log into other Tencent-backed games.
