Valve isn't going to ban launchers.
majority of them also cause game issues as well, then people have to fix it themselves so they can play, or wait for possible fixes, or no fixes and poor support.
This is one of those issues where wallets speak louder than words.
We've already been at where games with third party launchers were only in their respective platforms, and that road brought us where we are.
On the right-hand side
A layman would read that and ask "Wonder what that is", does a quick google search and sees it takes them to ubisoft's, not valve/steam's, website. This would then imply I would have to do something with ubisoft, not valve/steam, and in that case would make the choice of getting it or not.
just dont buy on steam, since they have the ability to "un-buy" your purchase
we are buying games, not launchers... and saying "don't buy it" is a failed argument.
so... we don't buy, company loses money... possibly shuts down, where we go from there?
sounds like ego is being misplaced.
it's called a refund and you can request it from Steam Support
Company loses money and possibly shuts down.
How is that better?
People already have ability to buy things directly fr devs. Asking for rempving a CHOICE to buy here instead (becauuse that what will happen with "banning") is helping no one.
sorry, I'm not following, your reply doesn't correspond to what I wrote, you may have misunderstood...
you said don't buy, I said if they don't buy, the company loses money...
thus failed argument, cause evidence shows that argument has lead to companies losing money and closing/splitting/or selling off.
Is that bad?
nope, it's great.
would love to get back to good quality games, with zero nonsense (encompassing a lot).
I was just pointing out the flaw in the the statement, cause some like using that as a "don't complain, you don't have to buy", while not understanding what that entails.
take some of the game companies who said that, or Disney... look where it got them lol.
At least I learned something from this interaction.
