Seriously though, having over 1k, most random games on my wishlist is probably just as questionable, but I'm glad that at least you agree
I wouldn't mind being able to categorize games from wishlist into seperate groups, especially because the current way of "custom order" organising them is terrible and clunky at best, but that doesn't really fix my original request.
Although I gotta admit that being able to have one wishlist for the games I want to play first and foremost and then another wishlist for the games that I felt looked kinda interesting when I added them and might buy them eventually once there's nothing left on my main wishlist (instead of having to scroll through all of them just to find my favorite ones) would be kinda convenient.
Being able to narrow it down for your friends to know which one you would prefer as a gift is also valid point, but I'd hope it gets added along with an option to private the wishlist and not instead of it, if they actually decide to implement it.
