Again, all you have shown is hearsay, and speculations, and none of it points to EA blocking Linux just to screw over Linux users. It points to them doing it to try and reduce the amount of people cheating in their game.
I did click off of the video about a 3rd of the way through, after hearing him say he didn't know anything for about the 9th time. That doesn't constitute proof, that constitutes conspiracy, and speculation.
You can wonder all you like, but I asked someone a question, and you came in to answer it. Though you've not actually been able to. If you can show me something that shows that they blocked Linux users to just spite Linux users, I'll definitely concede. I don't however take someone's bad faith misinterpretation of an article, or the hearsay of a small YouTuber as proof of this, as most reasonable people wouldn't.
I'm done with this conversation unless you can bring something of actual substance to the table. Cheers, I hope you have a great day.
Too many people use youtubers that speculate and say they don't know, for whatever reason, as some sort of "trust me bro" situation.
Fact is most just don't officially support linux because the userbase is too small per game - likely with deck compatible games as exceptions with small install sizes etc - and that quite often as a few individuals including myself have said, people that use the os tend to be rather entitled and even "insufferable" in regard to basically demanding linux support.
yup. Not to mention it presents a moving target with all the distros out there. The STeamOS Steamdeck might help with that, , creating a sort of fixed target to aim for but that's a time will tell scenario
You can close your eyes and ignore facts, but they will not became less fact because you do that.
EDIT:
It is something like this: (x + y) = 30%.
x = Linux ban.
y = Update on anti-cheat for new season.
Give me the value of X and Y so we can check what is what.
Also, it is 30% of something that we don't know, because they never said.
Aldo, at the end of the chart there is a sharp incline on the number of cheaters.
A "warning" hum?
Colour me intrigued.
Now im curios what kind of warning is it? A threat or advice?
You too? Lmao. You'd think advice would be given openly, but one can only speculate.
