Steam's not going to risk giving you anything and you not paying for it fully.
As mentioned, credit card, or just put money each month into your Steam account till you have enough then buy it.
I very much doubt Valve will do monthly payments... too much risk of someone paying for just the first payment, getting it and then running off with it.
Vr is really niche though goodluck
Like we're not the ones that are financially irresponsible. If you don't understand how credit cards work or that steam is not a bank and isn't going to give you loans that's a problem with your finances. Learn how money works first before asking other institutions to 'fix' your terrible financial decisions
Why on earth would you want to use Klarna. You do realize that once you miss a payment, and its pretty obvious you're going ot miss them bcause, again you are making terrible financial decisions, the 'interest free loan' you got is no longer interest free and you are getting slammed with nearly 100% rates right that are RETROACTIVE. You're basically on a one way express highway to end up as a YouTube Short on Caleb's channel.
There's a reason financially responsible people don't use these terrible 'cash' apps or "pay later" apps.
I don't think Steam wants to mess with giving credit. It's a whole worm can of problems.
Specially when most payment methods already offer their customers ways to split payments.
Note its bizarre when people ask to add things like Klarna or other such 'pay as you go' apps to Steam. Like, if you thought Visa and MC were predatory? WOW These companies make loan sharks look like saints. They're on par or even worse than payday loans. The problem of "my credit card company is punching me in the face" is not solved with "this pay as you go app is shooting off my kneecaps but their gun is Hello Kitty Pink"
Considering I do not need, or ever need to use Klarna to purchase whatever I want, yes I am absolutely doing better than you. The only people using things like Klarna are people who, by definition, are doing very badly. It is literally a self-selecting population. Using anything like Klarna is, literally by definition, a poor financial decision
Can I afford a 5090. Yes. Could I put it on my credit card? Yes. Will I? No. Because its just a dumb amount of money that I simply don't need to spend. The solution to this is not "wow let me use Klarna to split payment" the solution is "wow I should really not spend this much money on something I can't afford"
Its sort of disgusting every payment processor has basically somehow made a 'cute' name for what are basically predatory lending. Visa/MC wishes they could do something this level of shady and get away with it.
If you want to use Klarna, you are already being shot in the kneecaps. You just dont know it. Again don't think the EU protects you from making terrible financial decisions. Buying something you can't afford is your problem. The solution to that is not 'buy more stuff'
