This is a program that allows you to translate text on the screen (including in games) in real time (on the fly).

The steam has already added a video recording function in games, I think it's time to add an OCR translator function, this will increase the player's convenience in games where there is a lot of story text but there is no language in which the player can read freely, this will make games such as Ostronauts more accessible to players who do not know English well enough to be fluent It can be read on it, which means it will increase the attractiveness of such games for purchase.

If such functionality were in the steam overlay without the need to download additional software, then this functionality would become much more accessible to ordinary average statistical players.

Translations are not free and services like Google Translate (free for private users, but not in bulk for companies) cost 20 USD per million text characters. Even 1% of the peak CCU is 300k potential users. The cost for Valve will ramp up to unsustainable levels fast.

Add to the fact that automated translations are still not perfect which means that game developers are more inclined to deny such functionality for fear of negative perception or even lawsuits due to possible liability attached to it.

TL;DR: It's much cheaper for Steam (and you) for you to learn english in the long run.

Or to simply just find one to use themselves on the Interwebs. I hear there's all sorts of stuff out there in the clouds.
