They did.
Turkish users aren't their only customers, and lira was bad for Valve and all the developers/publishers (their other customers) selling games.
This is why Valve no longer accepts TL and demands USD instead.
You explicitly asked for it to be re-added and asked Valve to find a solution. They did.
Region hopping was one facet, the currency rapidly losing value the bigger issue. Oversimplifying the problem doesn't make your argument stronger. It just makes it look like you're clueless, or dishonest.
A lot of people using a volatile currency just makes it a bigger problem and a bigger hassle. At any rate there's lots of ways to address the issue, none of them are wrong, and you're free to have an opinion what you would do if you were calling the shots. Valve calls the shots on Steam, and they made a decision years ago. If you like how other stores handle the lira, use them instead.
I may look clueless from outside to you, but you kinda aggressive towards this. As you can see, I won't stop using Steam. I also find your argument fair and reasonable. I still don't think I oversimplified though.
And it's not like you're the first lira/peso user to ask for their volatile currencies to be re-added because blah. So it's not the first time this has been explained. You're just customer #1,000.
I can't help how you feel about the weakness of your arguments being exposed. But now you know there's some problems, you have an opportunity to fix that even if you think I'm a meanie.
Simply put, you are not a Valve employee. You are not a moderator. If you disagree, you disagree. If you agree, you agree. Nothing deeper than that. Me understanding your point of view doesn't mean that I don't stick to my argument. You are not don't know it all, so do I.
This is a discussion forum. You should expect others with different opinions than yours are going to reply and "discuss" the topic with you.
And this is not an echo chamber to solicit yes-men to your suggestion. You can still maintain your position while others are explaining their own.
