Suggestion: Please Consider Adding Console-Equivalent Graphics Settings for Steam Deck
Hello,

I’d like to kindly suggest that developers consider adding console-equivalent graphics presets for Steam Deck. Many players appreciate the convenience of consoles, where games are optimized to provide a smooth experience right out of the box. Having an option to select settings similar to PS4, PS5, or Xbox consoles would make it easier for Steam Deck users to enjoy games without spending extra time adjusting graphics. This could greatly enhance the overall experience and allow players to focus more on the gameplay itself.

Thank you for considering this, and I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on this idea!

Developers don't read these forums, its for suggestions to the Steam client. You'd probably get more visibility posting this in the steam deck forums here - https://steamcommunity.com/app/1675200/discussions/

This is the kind of thing that would have to be done separately for each game, and that's if it's even possible for a given game.

Steam Deck Verification already requires that a game has default graphics settings on the Steam Deck that work well.
On console you have graphic fidelity versus performance.

Used to be you only had one fixed setting.

True. Before PS4.

I'll be frank with you. This isn't about graphics at all, it's about modernisation of items, characters both single and coop, and NPCs and Mobs, but most especially technological sci-fi mechanics that cover speed, time and land within its own map.

If you're asking for the deck to have graphics equivalent to a PS5 or Series X, that isn't going to happen. A handheld, battery powered device is going to be hard pressed to match a larger device plugged into a wall, and nothing can change the physics of that.

If you're just asking for the deck to have a solid default, that's on the individual developers but should also be part of the process for being steam deck verified.
