Make an option under game properties to "Delete Cloud Saves"
I have been since morning trying to figure out how to remove all my saves in certain games i wanted to do a Complete From Beginning and remove everything that is unlocked
and i came across something on the internet steps to remove steam cloud saves with a powershell command but i don't want to go into that detail further as it didn't work it was probably a lie as the command itself came back as an error.

So the only way that i could actually remove the steam cloud saves was to disable steam cloud in settings & delete the userdata game id folders and start a new game make a new save file exit the game go back into steam settings re-enable steam cloud and that's when file conflict shows up when the games are trying to sync and you get the option of choosing which save file you want to use newest one by date & time and that has worked for all of my single player survival horror genre games so far
but seriously in my opinion it's really dumb that there isn't an option for people that want to start over fresh on games that they don't have the option under game properties to delete cloud saves.

Such an option has been requested for years now. Personally I would prefer a delete option on the Remote storage page ( https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage ).

Oh okay weird how they treat people in regards to this small option
i agree with you on the delete option on the remote storage page that should be even simpler for them to do

Note that your game is the thing that manages your saves not steam. Steam is just syncing. Its not the arbiter or correctly deletes save files.

ALl you do by deleting the cloud storage is to screw up any syncing in the future. The game is always the arbiter of what should be saved to the cloud, not the cloud itself.

Many games even have internal databases of save files they reference. If you obliterate a save in the cloud, that can kill the internal database making the game itself not even load.

I wouldn't really care if the cloud storage wouldn't come back to begin with
if i want the saves & unlocked content deleted then i'll just have to risk it
Resident Evil Game Saves cannot be deleted in the games
except by removing the steam save cloud
but your assumptions are a bit ridiculous haven't had any of these so called problems
the cloud restored itself by using the Local Save File and thus i have fresh games again.

Edit so far i have reset all of my Resident Evil collection and every single game boots up with no problems and done this by deleting the cloud saves.

100% agree. There should be a delete on the remotestorage and yes it has been requested for very long.

But you are correct although what you say only applies to games that have the option of deleting game saves which not every single game has on Steam

Like the Resident Evil Games Don't Have said option they are entirely cloud reliant

That’s a game problem not a cloud problem.

Yes but the only option to get a clean slate in the Resident Evil games is by Deleting Cloud storage probably a lot of other games that have this problem and since this is something that been the default in every RE game
So having the option on steam to delete the remotestorage or having an option under game properties to delete cloud storage wouldn't hurt

but if you want to be against this so much by all means do so i don't care i'll just do the same thing with other games that i have done now with all the Resident Evil series by deleting the cloud storage so i can play them again fresh from the start with everything still locked

Steam Cloud Sync asks you to choose either the old or new save file every time so those so called problems are not existing

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
