Steam chat URL Links
This is a Suggestion for Valve- I don't know why this hasn't been a thing, though I think you need to add this into your chat.
You need to start blocking Outside URL Links and only add ones valve allows, like discord, steam itself and youtube and whatever else you choose.
When they send a hack link or URL redirect in chat that isn't allowed- it blocks it-
Steam really needs to start protecting your users from these URL Link hackers, I have had several people keep sending them, like I am not stupid and I won't click it but others do and they end up losing their accounts and credit card information to these hijackers.

I think if you put something in that you choose which Links can be added to your own chat would actually eliminate this problem. There has to be a stopping point, this has been going on for years, don't you think its time to fix it? I am pretty sure it would be easy for you to pick and choose what can be posted and what cannot be. I don't think anyone would argue except the people trying to steal peoples accounts.

The link filter already exists as does the warning page for leaving Steam.

What really needs to happen is for people stop wanting free stuff and being gullible enough to click any rando link.

Filter isn't good enough, they need to have a stronger stance. People aren't smart enough to know their friends aren't giving an invite to play a game with them. If they've been hijacked.

By the way, no warning until the 3rd time they posted to me, best thing I could do was block communication with them. until they regain access to their own accounts.

So warning system is trash- I don't see how you can defend it and sure they shouldn't click it but those links shouldn't be posted from the start.
