Suggestions for not to complicated FPS on Steam Deck

First time in forum so please forgive for an faux paus.
I am a casual gamer that enjoys FPS, and looking for a new game. I am finishing up the Metro series, and have really enjoyed it. I like a good story, and exploring, but don't want controls that are too complicated. For example, I got Red Dead Redemption, and when I needed to brush horse, feed horse, I thought screw it. Sorry, if this offends :). But just want the basic navigation, with maybe a few special moves.

Series I have loved are BioShock, Metro, Borderlands, Outer Worlds, Half-life, The Darkness. Looking for something similar.

Hoping for some suggestions, so I am not buying games, and then finding out it is really not what I was looking for.
