Can Steam be more like YouTube and the other succesfull platforms ?
When I open a random steam game page, and nothing catches my interest, I close the Store and go to my library.

Pls, see how YouTube keep the attention of the users - there is a RIGHT PANEL with SUGGESTIONS. When someone opens a video, there are at least 6 other videos on the field of view to click on. Make the same on Steam - add a right panel with suggestions. Now they are on the bottom of the page - where nobody will see them, burried.

Write me your answer and send this to Gabe Newell, thank you in advance !

P.S. My game Memory Adventures in the Jungle on Steam has les than 160 wishlists after 5 months visibility (and after Steam Next Fest). Many other games have the same fate. Pls, consider my idea - it will greatly improve performance on Steam and you can make a lot of $ $ $, because the buyers will stay longer on your platform and possibly buy more, a lot more.

Having suggestions for other games on a game's store page....?
Having suggestions for other games on a game's store page....?

They want it on the right hand column instead of scrolling down the store page.

:nkCool:
You mean that 'More Like This' section that you have to scroll down for to see?

Edit: It's perfectly visible.

There is no reason why Steam should operate like youtube. Even "shorts" is now plagued with basically ads pretending to be videos. Those "suggestions" are usually for click-engagement, not for quality content or what you might actually like half the time. I find I get way better results there when using an adblocker and getting rid of all the tracking, in addition to looking for what I want.

Seriously, youtube is a terrible example.
Also, advertising your game within a suggestion is usually a big "do not do". Could've sworn you've advertised this game previously and it got removed, no?

That's how they try to get around the no advertising rules. Complain or suggest something while also promoting their own game outside their game hub.

And they wonder why they have such a high ignore count on their game.

So they'd rather scroll down to see the score and the quick description?

OP/ Youtube and Steam have entirely different operational goals and thus models.
Their differing designs speak to those divergences.

The funny thing is YT has 2 UIs right now. One shows the recommendations on the right and the other, newer UI has the recommended videos below with the comment section on the right.

Fun times.

Really. Mine's on the right.
no thanks for the suggestion and no thanks to the blatant advertising (which is breaking rules) of "your" game.

Toxic much ?
The reason your game doesn't have many people wishlisting it is that it's, well, not very interesting. It's a game that pretty much everyone has had opportunities to play in some form by the time they're old enough to sign up for Steam. "Memory" is not exactly a new concept.

Yes, Steam does show related games, but they're not going to show a game they don't think people will buy.

Thank you for your comment.

"Thank you" to all other comments - clearly some of them are made not by a businessman and not by a developer - you are making my post viral and because of this, there is a bigger chance to be seen by the Steam staff - thank you.
