Full Wii Remote support concept
This concept allows for one to use a Wii Remote in their favorite games with Steam Input, including Extension controllers like the Nunchuk or Classic Controller.

How to pair?
Simply pair through the steam client. That simple

How will it work / features?

These are very requested features that could be implemented:

1. IR camera to support mouse or joystick camera controls
In the living room? Just pull out the Wiimote and Nunchuk for an awesome gaming experience!

2. Accelerometer and Gyroscope support
Use it for mouse controls!
As for the accelerometer, it can be mapped so if swung it toggles a button / virtual menu

3. Extension controllers
If a Nunchuk or Classic controller is connected, a player can use it for better controls.
For the Nunchuk, the gyro needs to be remapped to a vertical mode. The IR pointer can be used for mouse / joystick emulation

Classic controller can just act like an xbox one lol

4. Steam input integration
A player can remap the Accelerometer shaking to a button like Y, or map the 1/2 buttons to A/B simple implementation

Final important mention regarding gyroscope
Make it so the gyroscope is recalibrated when it is in horizontal / vertical mode.

I really hope this idea is implemented some day. Full wii remote support would be amazing. Value please lol

There's a great free software application called WiinUPro (or the lighter version, WiinUSoft) that does pretty much exactly this! I've used it myself a few times in the past, and once you get everything set up, it works great! It essentially makes inputs from the Wiimote pretend to be from an Xbox 360 controller rather than trying to define the Wiimote itself, but the result is more or less the same.

I haven't tested if it supports the IR sensor since I don't have a way to do that (or a need to, really), but it works great with the Wiimote's gyro controls and extension controllers.
