Digital product refund changes
There is a huge problem with refunding: Deadline time which is just 14 days and playtime which is just 2 hours max to get a refund.

This needs to be changed due to the problem that many videogames that people wanted to refund, were played longer than 2 hours because: They had no tutorial, The tutorial was too short and the gameplay itself is too much time consuming and the tutorial showed only the very basics, and the games get boring when you are trying to figure out the damn controls for 2 or more hours!

The 14 days deadline is not that bad but when you are refunding a real life product, the limited warranty is commonly 2 months, so with digital products it should be at least 1 month, or the best solution is there would be no time deadline of how long you own the digital product since it is not a real object.

I personally I am a victim of these refund rules where I could not refund a game I did not liked because it was too time consuming and had no tutorial and I am not the only one, so it is time to protest against these silly refunding rules!

or they could go with the legal requirements and give no refunds after you download it at all

refunding is not a method to demo games, nor is it a satisfaction guarantee

2 hours to make sure the game runs well is enough. Its not to see how much your going to enjoy it for 100s of hours (you can say in the reason for refund didnt enjoy it) , for how good it may be do some research 1st.

The refund limits are not there for you to have a date with the game and se if you both want to marry.
You have the internet for that.

Every game out there is special and requires its own specific time limit because of reasons.

I've seen people suggest the only limit would be the 14 days after purchase, because some games like Paradox ones are extemely complex and deep.

Refund policies - Take your pick. Note: (***) same refund policy.

1) (***) Steam - Within two weeks of purchase and with less than two hours of playtime.

2) (***)Epic - Games and products are eligible for refund within 14 days of purchase. However, you must have less than 2 hours of runtime on record.

3) (***) Ubisoft (UPDATED) - You can request a refund for a digital PC game within 14 days of your purchase, as long as the game has not been played for more than two hours.

Previously it was: (You can request a refund for a digital order within 14 days of your purchase, as long as the content has not been launched).

4) EA Play - Whichever comes first.

a) Within 24 hours after you first launch the game.

b) Within 14 days from the day you bought it, if you have not launched the game.

c) Within 14 days from the release date if you pre-ordered the game, if you haven't launched it yet.

5) Blizzard - The game is newly purchased within the last 3 days. You haven't started the game; if the game has been played at all it won't qualify for a refund.

6) GOG - starting now, you can get a full refund up to 30 days after purchasing a product, even if you downloaded, launched, and played it. That's it. #

# (Open to abuse and they monitor for abuse and reserve the right to refuse a refund as do all PC stores). https://ibb.co/ZzXPMwv

GOG - How often can I refund my games? Is there some sort of limit?

We trust that you're making informed purchasing decisions and will use this updated voluntary Refund Policy only if something doesn't work as you expected.

We reserve the right to refuse refunds, or only offer Wallet Funds conversions, in individual cases.

Please respect all the time and hard work put into making the games you play and remember that refunds are not reviews. If you finished the game and didn't like it, please consider sharing your opinion instead.

Also, please don't take advantage of our trust by asking for an unreasonable amount of games to be refunded. Don't be that person. No one likes that person.

Correct, namely the assumption people have that they're owed more than actually true.

^^ This.
If you want to know how to play a game, there are plenty of tutorials online in written and video form that show you how to do various things in games, if you want to know before purchasing or before adding more hours to the game.

I wonder what game this is about.

Microsoft(Xbox) within 14 days of purchase / release of game, under 2 hours of playtime across platforms, no more than 30 Gamerscore ( From time of purchase to the time of refund )
