Netflix/Video overlay while playing a game
Have it so that you can open up Netflix through the steam browser. Then when you go full screen have it so that it is adjustable to the size/portion of the screen you would like it to take up. Once you have the video where you want it you should be able to press a button to overlay it onto the game. Other possible uses of this would be to apply other video formats that you have on your computer and play it through steam. They have a music steam beta for god sake why not have a video one as well. This would allow players to watch live streams, you tube, movies, t.v. and much more. This would allow me and others to play their games on full screen instead of doing windowed mode which looks ugly. For those that don't have multiple monitors (including me) it will help. The Xbox One has this for god sake and it will go along with the music beta slightly and will improve steams functionality for the home setting. Imagine playing Civ V while watching your favorite t.v. show or movie on one screen.

Wouldn't Valve have to make a deal with Netflix to do this? Besides, why would you want to take up valuable screen space of a game to watch a TV show or a movie?

Because they don't have an infinite amount of manpower. The music beta doesn't even have support for any codecs other than MP3 yet, it's hardly feature-complete.

Has been announced by Valve already.

I strongly agree with this suggestion. I would do anything for this option in my games. Even if I have to find a 3rd party option. I'd also suggest something about adding a transparency option.

Could you provide source? I'm really interested.
I remember a time when playing a game was entertainment enough, is there some kind of new super ADD now or something?

Source: Steam music beta.

I can't see anything about video playback, other music codecs aren't even announced.

They announce to expand in future, other audio codes and video.

good

I would also really enjoy this feature as games like Skyrim have trouble with minimizing and seem to crash randomly when doing so.

Then post in the Steam music beta forum.
