Save password for multiple users.
As we know a lot of people share computers and it's annoying having to type passwords in constantly, especially if one wants to have a secure account and has a complicated password. Therefore I think it would be a good idea to have an option to save password and username especailly if the users allreaedy have family sharing on on a machine.

Another alternative would be to have the passwords saved but have an extra PIN number (like some mmorpgs have a password for the account and then for each character) to log in that would shorten the login process on trusted/regular devices.

Thanks for reading, if you like this idea let valve know and lets make this happen :D

When you and the other users use the computer, do you use the same login for Windows, or do you each have your own Windows account?

Yeah we do use the same Windows Login to make things simpler.

I've never tried it with Steam specifically, but you may be able to use different Windows login accounts to make this work. It would also give you different sets of browser cookies so other websites would save separate logins. Each user could have their desktop laid out the way they want it, short cuts to their games, etc.

Google Chrome allready lets us have diferent users on the same windows login and that's what we use so the browser thing is not a problem my main problem would be, with multiple accounts on windows, that extra step to select the user before the computer loads the desktop and having a semi slow coputer I literally have to give like a minute or two for my pc to boot so I normally walk away and let it do its thing and having to choose a user would make the lazy me hate this idea so I'm gonna wait and see if anyone maybe from staff has anything to say about this.
If I will not get any answer or anything lazy friendlier I might just make more windows users as you said, It didin't even cross my mind that I could do that so thanks for the idea.

EDIT: Just some grammar things :)

Once booted you should be able to just switch logins without having to shutdown or restart your computers. And you can keep multiple logins active on Windows at once and just "Switch Users".

Thats right but what I was reffering to is on the initial startup of the computer it would take me to a user selection screen and then I would have to choose the user and it would be another 30 seconds to a minute before all the startup programs load for the user also I don't think it would be good for my pc to have multiple users active as im allready playing CS:GO on about 15-20 fps with the lowest settings and having the extra user or two would kill a bit more of my fps so I dont think I can do that unless I get a bit of money to upgrade to a better computer.

Multiple users won't slow things down as long as those users close their programs before you switch.

Ah ok so close programs and I should be fine, got that thanks. Also just out of curiosity do you know if theres a way to make like a main user for the pc to log onto so that it logs me on and then I would have to press witch user later when I want to or do i just have to select a user at startup?

I think once you create accounts, you'll have to choose which one you want to log into on boot up manually.
