Increase the Steam Wallet limit to $1k
Games these days are getting more and more expensive. With the growing number of games offering Steam Community Market trading, a higher wallet limit would be nice. Right now the big "alpha sales" games are going for $20-30. Image what the "BIG" games will be going for in a year or two ($80-100).

I already know Star Citizen is suppose to be a game who's "micro" transactions are more than most Steam games. While that game isn't slated for release for a few more years, it tells of the future of micro transaction gaming.

I just think a Steam Wallet of $1k (or even $2k) should be the reality. Heck it's not like it's even hurting anyone. The limit on the Wallet seems arbitrary and without cause.

The limit is so "low" to prevent fraudulent buyers from making too much damage.

They could also make it so after a certain amount of account activity(ies) your limit increases.

The point was, gaming is long past the days where games are $40 brand new (oh do I miss those days). The limit is just a little low considering some of the games that will be coming to Steam (which Star Citizen has been stated will come to Steam).

They still are the days, just that the big-name companies who have been selling games since back then are selling bigger budget games, therefore have to ask for more money. I know/have known people who have played The Binding of Isaac for over 1000 hours and are still playing it to this day. I'm sure that nowadays games are even cheaper than they were back then if equal budget. I've bought games that go for $15 which look and feel like they spent more money on the title than Super Mario Bros. Though that may be due to technology advances, but still.
Dude, I thought it was a lot when it was 30!...

But seriously now....$1,000 Who the heck spends that much??? You can always top it up, I mean, I only really would buy one or two games at a time, like most people...and suggesting it even be 2,000? Please, don't take me for being aggressive or a ♥♥♥♥ or anything, I'm cool, but I don't quite understand the need for such a high amount >.<

I read somewhere that, once you correct for inflation, AAA games are actually the same price or cheaper these days. Of course, that was probably only true before the recession hit.

One thing that could be said towards the cap on the Steam Wallet bundle, what about free-to-play games? I see people spending $200 at one time alot on free-to-play games, with the cap on the steam wallet, such purchases is impossible. What about the infamous Steam Sales? I imagine alot of people, particularily people who have alot of things they wanna buy might want to put a couple of hundred dollars in their wallet because they know they will spend a good amount on the sales.
