Well yah, I mean it'd be someone trying to circument privacy options. I'd could even see valve blocking ♥♥♥ IP who do it, tho maybe not, considering this topic is several years old and no sign it'll get implemented
Also as already mentioned in the thread, it can be solved by making it so that your username is not shown on your friends' public friendlist, either.
And yes, an option to not show the friendlist would be an extremely useful thing to implement.
Ah, you're right, that should fix that.
It sounds like an option for people that have something to hide.
Like he dont want his girlfriend to see that other chick on the list.
If it is a public profile, then the friend list is public.
And the option is allready there, The option that allow a player to make a profile private.
I think it is perfect the way it is now.
I would be offended if they make it possible, because there is what you see on a profile.
With an option like that, then you can't trust the information on a profile page.
An i rather look at the hole pack, not just a part of it.
It is not possible to ask for a privacy option to a public profile in my eyes.
But sometimes i can't see the wood because of all the trees.
Someone has trust issues.
Well i dont, so it can't be everyone.
If a player has that kind of needs, he can make his profile private like you did.
Public is public.
I dont have a trust issue, i just understand the term PUBLIC
they only need to know specific information. they don't need access to my entire profile.
there's also social hacking
might be a low chance of it ever happening to me. but what's wrong with being safe?
i live in a neighborhood that is very clean and safe and little to no crime.. with gate and guard
does that mean i should keep the doors to my house and cars unlocked?
and about having nothing/something to hide. maybe i don't have anything to hide, but i should have the freedom to choose when and where and to whom i devulge any of my personal information and connections to
You don't have to be a dumbass every day of the week, dude.
