Steam Deck : LCD to OLED upgrade Kit
Hello,

As a proud owner of a Deck (LCD version), I was looking for a way to improve the screen and found this product https://deckhd.com and honestly, it looks nice and I was considering trying it out.

Since the OLED version was announced, I've been dreaming of a way to buy the new screen. Steam, are you planning to market an upgrade kit?

nah the larger screen actually have better thermal displacement because they are larger a slightly larger steam deck shell would of allowed better thermal dynamics and addictional cooling to be used to off set any heat, also the battery is mostly effected by the heat transfer , a thicker slightly more heavy steam deck would be well worth a better thermal regulation.
Have you been within a city block of a Steam Deck yet or are you still waiting for Valve to send you one for free?

Or use a credit card.

thanks for the suggestion tought
i got a warm fuzzy feeling after seeing this thread revived.

I still believe that a 10 inch or 11 inch steam deck screen would be way better.

how much would it actually cost for steam to of put a bigger battery in it and a bigger screen, it seems so redundant and a waste to even create a OLED product that is identical to what they already have.

why was no additional ram added, major oversights like this are part of the learning process.

they should of done a 10 inch screen , would of been a "BIG" seller

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would have bent over and paid the extra money for a 10" when compared to a 7"

Why not just buy a Lenovo Legion Go if you want the 10" screen??

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
