I personally collect more than i play, what does that say about me?
I finally, just this year, started playing and completed the most recent Tomb Raider trilogy. I bought each one of those when initially released, so it took me, what 10 years to finally get around to playing the first one? That's just the way it is sometimes.
I mean you have 12 and 4 ina franchaise, you're gonna probably snag 3 just to plug that weird gap.
And the very simple truth is Very few if any users set out with the intention of having a 1000 games. It just happens. Un planned and it's just as much of a shiock to the person when they see they have the 1K gamesbadge.
You see a game you like. buy, you see another, buy.. and after a few years ...
It's the natural side effect of a store that is packed with stuff you wanna buy.
And at that point, i really doubt people know what games they already own, if Steam wouldn't highlight we already do, people would buy multiple games multiple times, haha.
That's true. And all the good bundles sometimes, there may be 5-10 games in one and before you blinked with both eyes... BOOM! 1K games reached.
But obviously such things get ignored because that user is only interested in trying to put bad light onto users they don't agree with. It's all merely bad mouthing that they do.
Funnily enough, most people that have thousands of games on Steam don't even post in the forums. So the users whole narrative is shot by default anyway.
There's a give away thread and half the time I see something that makes me go "Ooh that looks fun" I click to peek at the store page ( to check the reqs) only to met with a bitg green play button.
The backlog is REAL.
And it HUNGERS
And who knows what the next Factorio will be for me, but whatever it is, the backlog will only continue to grow through that period of time. *shrugs* Some people won't understand that or will think it's silly and fair enough, but ultimately it is at the end of the day....my money.
Exactly, i have dozens of games in Epic due to free offerings, never played any of it but they are also mostly games i do not own on Steam, perfect example.
I assumed as much, honestly.
That may be because they are busy, in any case, we shall not take the bait, as we are all Steam's inventory, haha.
Same happened to me, at some point i started at 0 but the games came literally flying in and whoopsie, 1K reached! I have no time to play it all, OP thinking you can play thousands of games is simply far away from the truth, time constraints really do exist. So much for that.
