Limit games shown in store to those that my hardware can meet the requirements
I have an underpowered gaming machine (it's no better than a Surface 3), and the power it can put towards games is limited. I'd like an option that, when browsing the Steam game store, limits the results of games to those that would run well on my hardware. I don't, for example, need to see a new game that looks really fun to play, only to find out it wouldn't run at all well on my laptop; and then, see it over and over in the new releases, as though Steam is mocking my HW*. Limiting the results of the Steam Store to games I know would perform well would surface more relevant, more fun games to me faster.

*(I know it's actually not mocking my hardware choices, I'm just going for the joke here.)

As has been said in all the previous threads, no store will do this for two reasons:
- Liability
- It's inaccurate. There are various canirunit sites and they all give different ratings/advices/results. Those canirunit sites don't have a commercial stake, so they can get away with it.

If you want such a thing, google "Gamename + canirunit", pick three sites and take the average result as a guideline.

I'm not sure what previous threads there were on this topic; searching through the forums isn't the most functional experience. It's good that that's been covered, though the reasons you list don't really make a lot of sense to me (showing me a game I can't reasonably run does me no good as a consumer; and, it's not like Steam is misrepresenting what my HW reqs are or game producers are intentially misrepresenting what is minimally needed to make a game look good; the reasons behind those reasons elude me). Can you link to the previous threads, I'd love to read through what those say. Thanks!

Developers, publishers DO NOT commit to games running on your PC because they CANNOT test every possible PC config out there. They list min, rec specs to remove liabilty.

Steam is a store to sell games and Valve are not guarantors for other developer products nor do they offer technical support for those other games. Again due to liability.

Windows updates, driver updates, anti virus, etc are all factors with regard to how games may perform.

I was thinking of that topic prior to posting, but remembered how ridiculous it was that I didn't bother to include it.
