I'm not quite sure what you are saying here. Is this a response to only the last paragraph? If so, what I'm saying there is; if my suggestion to make the button on the item's store page a toggle is implemented, then the ability to remove while on the Wishlist page itself should also remain.
Good idea.
This isn't quite true.
From the store page, select the text containing the name of the game near the top of the page.
Copy the text to the clipboard. (OSX: command-c || Windows: control-c)
Go to your wishlist.
Type the keyboard shortcut for "Find". (OSX: command-f || Windows: control-f)
Paste the text into the search field. (OSX: command-v || Windows: control-v)
Unfortunately you might have to remove the "®" (Registered) character from the text, because it's used on the store pages, but apparently not the wishlist pages.
Hit return, and this will jump to that game in your wishlist.
Also if you can type decently, simply typing some of the words of the name of game into the search field will also work.
I think everybody knows copy/paste and searching, but when you have hundreds items in wishlist it's very annoying also because wishlist page is not very optimized and it loads very slowly.
Good idea, I too would like to see that implemented.
Every time, I see the game, click on game store page, it shows that it is on wishlist with checkmark! Bingo! I click on checkmark, expecting game to be removed from wishilst.
Bang!
Not That Fast Boy! Steam ways are not convenient and easy. Please, see you whole wishlist first. Starting at random point.
Now, to actually remove the game from wishlist I have to find it second time, now on wishlist and click remove.
Steam UX designers, why? Please, share your wizdom! Or fix it.
This threadis more than a year old now. Is this even being acknowledged as an issue by steam?
the only reason I can't criticise Valve on their customer support is that there simply aren't any examples of it to judge
